JD Sound and Video provides custom audio and video systems for performing art centers and theaters. Whether you are looking to upgrade your existing system or require a complete design/build package, we will work with you on a solution to fit your venue and budget. We use computer modeling to ensure that regardless where your audience is seated, they can see and hear clearly. We also ensure any new equipment does not affect sight lines or interfere with lighting or video projection.
Our systems range from small 250-seat auditoriums to 2,500-seat performing arts centers.
Learn more about our sound systems.
Cafeteria sound systems are unique in that they need to provide intelligble, high-level sound over crowd noise but are not considered an athletic or peformance venue.
Our designs take into account the size of the cafteria, the ceiling height and the sound level when the space is filled with students. We design our systems to provide intelligble sound above the crowd level, so you can safely and clearly make announcements.
Our solutions often include a distributed design of ceiling loudspeakers, or surface-mount loudspeakers on the wall, if the ceiling height allows.
We can tie into the building's PA system so that annoucements come through the new sound system.
Cafeterias with stages or Cafetoriums as we refer to them as, are spaces used for lunches (and other activities) throughout the day, but often have a stage and host performances and events. These are unique spaces too, as the sound system needs to provide natural sound reinforcment that works for daily lunches and events, as well as peformances.
Gymnasiums are highly reverberant spaces and are used for gym classes, pep rallies, and sporting events. A properly designed system should be able to cover the bleachers and floor and provide guests with intelligible sound. We create computer models to ensure that not only your fans can hear, but so can your athletes. With hard walls, floors and reflective ceilings, it is important to keep reflections to a minimum to ensure the sound is intelligible.
JD Sound & Video has designed custom sound and PA systems for small gymnasiums which seat 200 people all the way up to arenas which seat over 5,000. Our systems provide exceptional audio quality with clear intelligibility and music reproduction to spectators in all seating areas.
While the sound is a major part of the experience in your venue, so is video. We have installed video walls with reinforced glass screens as well as projector and electric screen solutions for video playback.
We can provide a complete audio and video gymnasium solution for all sizes and budgets from K-12 through University size athletic buildings.
